Rosemary Cottage | Dittisham

Welcome to Rosemary Cottage

Rosemary Cottage is a holiday cottage in the picturesque riverside village of Dittisham on the River Dart and takes its name from the huge clumps of rosemary that tumble over the front wall of the house. This Dittisham holiday cottage stands in a private and elevated position in Manor Street which leads down to the River Dart. Rosemary Cottage is a Grade II listing building and dates from the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th centuries and is built mainly from Devon cob. Rosemary Cottage in Dittisham is available for holiday rentals and lets throughout the year. The charming, historic town of Dartmouth is about three miles away downstream.

"What a beautiful cottage you have and so comfortable! We adored the décor and found we could instantly relax and unwind after our long journey" from a guest in July 2022

Rosemary Cottage Dittisham stands in large, private gardens to the front, side and rear of the house, composed of lawn, flower beds, paved terraces and sloping, grassy orchard. Two steps lead up from the street to the front path. A porch shelters the front door, a stable door, which in turn opens directly into the living room. The ceilings are low and display original wooden beams. There is a wood-burning stove in the living room.

A few steps lead to a reading/sitting/entertainment area with French doors that open onto a terrace facing the river. The large kitchen/dining room has a 4-oven electric AGA and a stable door that opens out to the front garden. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, a bathroom with bath/shower and WC, a utility room with stable door access to the back garden, and a separate WC and hand basin.
